THe cliques of Troy High
What is a clique? Cliques refer to certain groups that have shared beliefs, goals, and general ideas. To give you an idea of some, there are the athletic group, the smart people group, and then the group that always hangs out in the bathrooms (I hate them).
There are many ways to identify cliques. For example, athletic teams or clubs like to wear their team gear on game or meet days. Wearing merch from your team not only shows the viewer the type of activity you do but also shows the stereotype and the activities of that group. For example, to give a real-life example, some people know that I'm on the swim because I wear some swim merch and the Hawaiian shirt during meet days, some have asked, "Are you going to dye your hair for swim???" This anecdote not only shows how cliques can give someone enough information without any words spoken.
Cliques can also destroy a group's reputation or specifically a person's reputation, for example, the average stereotype is that the football team is full of big buff guys who don't know anything besides lifting weights and hitting people, but personally, I know some people on the football team who are considerably smart and not at all dumb.
Moving on from athletic cliques let's go to other cliques such as nerds. The main belief is that are individuals who are only academically driven and are in, "calc BC, AP Phys C, etc," which of course they are, but something that many people get wrong is that they believe that they are these people who are holed in their room and stuffed in a book. But in reality, sometimes these people are so much of a nerd that they not only read, but they also do various athletic activities and clubs. (The real nerd is the kid who wrote the "unbelievable essay" and probably the only person in the whole world who got that impossible sophistication point).

I really like how you were able to personalize a unique clique to yourself such as the swim team clique, and flow into an anecdote to help prove your claim/point. Overall, I really like the informative and informal tone as it creates an enticing and interesting vibe to anyone who reads it.
